Old Family Picture

We have always been a homebirthing, homeschooling family, and we have also done homechurching along the way....

We are Tom and Sherry, and we have 7 living children.The picture at the top
is one taken at Melody's wedding. Summer (1979) married Ben
on Dec. 17, 2006. Melody (1981) married Michael on Nov. 5, 2006. Tommy
(1983) married Samantha on Dec. 29, 2006. The youngest four are still at
home...Charity (1988), Samuel (1990), Harmony (1993), and Autumn
(1995).

Tom works as an IT manager.

Sherry has been sickly for a long while and finally determined the
extent of her problem after she had a miscarriage in 1998 and
"reacted" to a medication. She has E.I. (Environmental Illness) which
includes FM (Fibromyalgia) and MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities).
She reacts to almost everything including dust, molds, pollens, foods,
and especially chemicals, so she is pretty much "homebound", but she
loves Christian fellowship by e-mail and phone and also in person with
those who will come without their fragranced clothes, soaps, perfumes,
shampoos, lotions, etc!

We are interested in missions, especially the Jewish people and the
Tarahumara Indians of Mexico. Dr. John Piper's messages
(www.desiringGod.org) and his emphasis on "Desiring God" and missions
are an inspiration to us. We love his most famous saying-"God is most
glorified in us when we are most SATISFIED in Him!"

Basically, we come from a historical Baptist perspective like that of
C.H.Spurgeon (i.e. the Trinity, incarnation, inspiration of Scripture,
"Doctrines of Grace", believer's baptism, etc.) We believe in
father-led families, courtship, and modesty and headcovering for
women.
