Is There REALLY a God? by Katrina Wade That is a question that I was asked about a week ago. The woman that asked me, told me that she knows there is a God but that there was a time in life when she really wasn’t all that sure. She said she had been raised in a Godly home, but with the evolution teaching she heard in school and such, she really had some doubts. She said that she would go to seminars and come away totally confused... Was there a God, or wasn’t there? She said that at times she was even angry because she was so confused and couldn’t make any sense of the whole question. So I naturally told her, “Of course there’s a God. Look at all He’s done or what it says He’s done in His Word. She looked at me and said, “You know how I finally figured it out? I was driving home from work one day, and happened to glance up and see a beautiful weeping willow tree.” I didn’t understand at first what that had to do with the whole picture, but she then said, “I knew as soon as I looked at that tree, that ONLY God can make a tree!” Isn’t that true?!! She then told me about how, for years, they have been trying to make babies from test tubes. You know what? They haven’t been able to. ONLY God and His awesome power can create a human body, with all the things it does. Have you ever thought about the awesome creation of the body? It is absolutely a miracle what your body can do and handle! It amazes me every time I think about it! To think of all the parts... hearts, liver, lungs, kidneys, stomach, etc, that we have in our bodies, and how they all work together to make our bodies run. Have you ever thought about how complex the human body really is? You know it is absolutely true that only God can make a baby! Only God can make a tree, with all of its branches and functioning parts. The tree, too, is a totally incredible creation! To think of the way it hauls water out of the ground to live!... It has been said that the tree, when it is pulling water from the ground up, is stronger than any pump made today. Awesome! I guess that one of my favorites is that only God can make a sunset. Now, I LOVE to watch sunsets, and only He can make them for me and anybody else to enjoy. Nobody else can create a beautiful sunset for all the world to look at and admire! My question is: Is there a God? My answer is yes!! Think for a moment of all the things He has created, how it all works together, etc, and you’ll soon see. Yes, there is a God!... A living, loving, caring, patient God. Look at all He has done for us, so we can live and move and have our being. You can read about Him in the Holy Bible and see there is a God. Look what He’s done. He healed the sick, raised the dead, opened blinded eyes, etc. He sent His Son to die for sinners that they might repent and be forgiven. PTL! When you really think about it, is there really even a question? When I look around and see all the things He’s made, I have to say, "There is a God!- a living God, that loves and cares for you and me." There is a God!! -Katrina Wade, Scottsville, KY YWSH Main Page
